If you are a Fan of the show Avatar “The legend of Korra” then you are aware that there were other avatars before Korra. In the 2nd season of The Legend of Korra we will learn about the very First avatar and his Name is Avatar Wan.
In the episode “The Southern Lights” We find Jinora Wondering the Halls of the Southern Air Temple’s sanctuary where she encounters the Statue of Aang and has a connection to it as she stares at the replica of her Grandfather.
But Later on she wakes up in the middle of the night to go back to the hall and discovers an Old wooden statue. This is a statue of the Very First Avatar, Wan. And As Korra Opens the Gateway in the South Pole to the spirit world the statue Lights up before Jinora’s Eyes.
The Very First Avatar “Wan” will be featured in 2 Episodes Called “Beginnings Part 1” & “Beginnings Part 2”. He will be Played by Steven Yeun (The Walking Dead) and his story will be the Main plot line of these two episodes.

Avatar Wan was the Very first Avatar, who lived ten thousand years Before Avatar Korra‘s time. Wan worked to bring balance between mankind and the spirits on a quest that eventually led to him becoming the Very first Avatar.
