Originally released internationally in 2013, Snowpiercer is based on the French graphic novel Le Transperceneige by Jacques Lob and Jean-Marc Rochette, and adapted to screen by Korean director Bong Joon-ho. The science-fiction thriller stars Chris Evans as Curtis Everett, rebel leader in a post-apocalyptic world where the only surviving humans are confined to a massive and perpetually moving train.

The film also stars Jamie Bell as Edgar, Curtis’ second-in-command, Octavia Spencer as Tanya, and Tilda Swinton as the tyrannical Minister Mason. Snowpiercer’s first North American screening is set for June 11th at the Los Angeles Film Festival, and the film will hit theaters nationwide on June 27th.
